Yes, we are a pediatric practice. We treat patients from 0-21 years of age.
We provide quality speech-language and occupational therapy. Physical therapy services will be added in the near future.
Yes, a referral or prescription from the pediatrician or specialist is needed to make an appointment. Referrals/prescriptions can be faxed to 954-533-7298 or emailed to info@playandlearntherapy.com
Therapy is a time-sensitive need. Therefore, we are committed to providing services as soon as possible.
When you arrive at the clinic, the secretary will sign you in, collect the necessary documentation, provide an intake packet fill out, and seat you in the waiting room. Then the therapist will meet you and walk you to a therapy room for the evaluation. The evaluation is usually 60 minutes in length.
An evaluation report will be written and submitted for authorization. Once therapy treatment is authorized, the therapist will call you to schedule and begin services.
Therapy frequency and duration of treatment depends on your child’s individual needs and the interventions recommended.
Children learn through play. It also makes learning motivating and fun! Although it looks like we are playing, we are implementing strategies to help your child communicate and develop skills.
Do you accept my insurance?
We accept most Medicaid insurances and private pay (out-of-pocket). We are out of network with commercial insurances; however, we provide superbills. These can be submitted to your health plan for potential reimbursement. We advise you to contact your health plan directly to obtain more information.
Yes. Free parking is available in front and around the plaza.
