How to begin services for my child?
At Play and Learn Therapy, we are here to help address any concerns you may have with your child’s speech, language, occupational, and physical skills. The steps to determine if your child is in need of therapy or how we might help your child with their needs are as follows:
Referral
- Discuss with your child’s pediatrician the concerns and/or observations noted about your child’s development.
- If the pediatrician identifies the need for therapy he/she will provide you with a referral/prescription for therapy. The referral/prescription can be sent from the pediatrician’s office to us by fax to 954-533-7298 or email to info@playandlearntherapy.com.
- After obtaining the referral/prescription, call us at 954-766-4621 to speak to our therapist about your concerns, obtain a new patient packet, and make an appointment for your child to be evaluated.
Evaluate:
We will contact you and set up an evaluation as soon as all of the necessary paperwork is completed.
Review:
The evaluating therapist will review the results of the evaluation and be readily available to answer any of your questions and/or address any concerns.
Treat:
If your child does present with a significant deficit that warrants therapy, then treatment will be set up with one of our dedicated therapists and the journey towards progress will begin.
